Welcome to Nacimiento Natural Products

“Nacimiento” means birthplace

The Sierra Nacimiento in the Santa Fe National Forest of Cuba, New Mexico serves as the backdrop to the birthplace of our humble dream

Our beef

The cattle are cared for in a way that closely mirrors their most natural diet and lifestyle. Using the public lands of Northern New Mexico for year-round grazing, the cattle are able to maintain a grass-based diet, while living with minimal human interaction or influence. The cattle we select are never treated with antibiotics or growth hormones, and are always robust and healthy when brought in for harvest.

To continue with our dedication to keeping business within the state of New Mexico and supporting our local economy, we utilize other New Mexico-based businesses for the processing of our beef. The processors we partner with take great pride in the work they do, and support our commitment to work within New Mexico.

Grass-fed and GRASS-FINISHED. “Grass-fed” beef cattle eat grass for the first part of their lives, but after about 10 months, many producers will supplement the cattle with grain or feed a grain-dominate diet to fatten the animals. This also implies that the animals are in confinement, while their diets are closely managed. Our beef is grass-fed AND grass-finished! The animals are roaming free on public land pastures and mountain wilderness meadows to maintain their diet the way nature intended: 100% grass and forage.

Our wool

Fuzzy (5 years old) and Tulo (4 years old) are our South African Merino wethers. They were rescued from a life of animal research and are now spoiled pets, eating the highest quality grass and hay in large free-range pastures with a herd of horses. They were shorn by hand without automated shears, to ensure a low-stress experience. The wool was cleaned and processed by New Mexico wool mills.

As we grow, we hope to create plant-based, natural wool dyes to be able to offer a variety of colors of wool roving. But until then, we hope you enjoy fiber-crafting with our natural wool!

Are you a fiber artist visiting New Mexico? We hope you’ll take a small piece of NM home with you - our wool is light and easy to pack! Visit us at the Albuquerque Downtown Growers Market, Corrales Growers Market, or online to purchase some wool and create your own New Mexico-grown souvenir!

Providing sustainably raised, high-quality products.

That is our commitment to New Mexico.
